NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell put out a statement about his retirement.

He called Brady “an incredible competitor and leader.”

He added that Brady “made everyone around him better.”

Peyton Manning also released a statement congratulating him on his retirement.

“It was an honor & a privilege to compete against him on the field,” he said.
