Maisie Williams is opening up about her time on “Game of Thrones.”

She played Arya Stark on the HBO series from 2011 to 2019.

She told British GQ that she started to resent her character as she grew up.

Williams explained that Arya didn’t allow her to “express who I was becoming.”

She said that led her to start resenting her body as well.

She said “it wasn't aligned with the piece of me that the world celebrated.”

In 2019, she talked about the difficulties on set when her body “started to mature.”

She explained that they “put this strap across my chest to flatten any growth that had started.”

Over the course of the series, she earned two Emmy nominations for her role.
