On June 1, Lynda Carter celebrated Pride Month by posting a drawing of Wonder Woman in front of a rainbow background.

“Happy Pride! So excited to celebrate with all my LGBTQIA+ friends and fans,” she tweeted.

However, it seems that several “fans” of the DC superhero were not having it.

One user commented on the photo, “Wonder Woman IS NOT A SUPER HERO FOR GAYS!”

Carter clapped back, “You're right. She's a superhero for bisexuals!”

The comment immediately lit up a firestorm and got Lynda Carter trending.

On Wednesday night, Carter admitted that she didn’t write “Wonder Woman.”

“If you want to argue that she is somehow not a queer or trans icon, then you're not paying attention,” she wrote.

Carter will return as Asteria in “Wonder Woman 3” after making a brief appearance in the sequel.
