"Terminator" franchise star Linda Hamilton is joining "Stranger Things" for its fifth and final season.

The announcement was made at the Tudum: A Global Fan Event by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Hamilton's role in the upcoming season has not been disclosed yet.

She is the first major casting announcement for the fifth season of "Stranger Things."

Hamilton, in a video at the event, expressed her excitement about being both a fan and an actress in the series.

The first episode of "Stranger Things 5" will be titled "The Crawl."

Production on Season 5 was put on pause due to a dispute between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

The industry might face another labor strike if the acting union, SAG-AFTRA, doesn't reach a new contract with AMPTP by June 30.

"Stranger Things" creators, the Duffer brothers, are also working on an animated series spinoff of the show.

The show stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, and others; the first four seasons are available on Netflix.
