Leslie Jordan’s legacy will be kept alive, and that is a promise.

The “Will & Grace” actor was memorialized in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 20th.

Leslie’s family, friends and hundreds of fans showed up to honor him.

The memorial was held at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium at 4PM.

In true Leslie fashion, the event included singing, music, comedy and audience participation.

His official Instagram account announced the memorial with a black-and-white throwback photo of Leslie as a young boy alongside a more recent photo of him.

The caption read, “We will never say goodbye. We will keep you alive in our memories and with your stories. Funeral and Memorial, 11/20/22 — Chattanooga, Tennessee.”

Tickets cost $20 a piece and all proceeds went to CEMPA Community Care, which is an organization near and dear to Leslie’s heart for years.

Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly said, “If Leslie were here with us today, I would want to thank him for his contributions to our culture throughout his acting career.”
