The “Batgirl” movie has been shelved.

“In the Heights” star Leslie Grace was set to play Barbara Gordon/Batgirl.

“Mummy” star Brendan Fraser had been cast as the villain Firefly.

Michael Keaton was returning as Batman and J.K. Simmons was Barbara’s father.

Sources reported that the movie had already finished filming, but will not be released.

HBO’s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, wants to focus on theatrical releases instead of streaming.

Grace took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos and videos of her time on set.

She thanked and crew for the “love, hard work, and intention” they put in while filming for 7 months in Scotland.

She ended the statement with #BatgirlForLife, which was quickly echoed by fans in the comments.
