Actress Lea Michele wowed fans with her performance as Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl."

The actress debuted in the role on Tuesday night at New York City's August Wilson Theatre.

The actress received several standing ovations from the audience.

Some of Michele's friends and colleagues were in attendance to support her.

"I know Jon [Groff] and John [Gallagher Jr.] are going to be there," she said, referencing her friends.

The actress shared that she celebrated with her best friend Goff when she landed the role.

"We just sat in the living room and toasted to that," she said.

Michele formerly faced backlash for allegedly mistreating her coworkers.

The actress issued a public apology at the time the news made headlines.
