LAPD Release Body Cam Footage After Girl, 14, Killed By Officers

On Monday, police released body cam footage of a shooting at a Burlington Department Store.

Police were responding to 911 calls about an assault inside the store.

Police were not sure if the suspect had a firearm at that time.

One officer saw the suspect at the end of an aisle and fired three shots.

One of the shots fatally struck the suspect, Daniel Elena Lopez, 24.

Another went through the drywall and struck Valentina Orellana-Peralta, 14.

She was in the dressing room with her mother trying on dresses for her quinceañera.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are currently investigating the officer-involved shooting.
