Jesse Armstrong, the creator of “Succession,” recently dissed King Charles III.

Armstrong called out the King’s ascension during his acceptance speech at the 2022 Emmy Awards.

“Succession” won the Best Drama Series Award, beating out “Euphoria,” “Ozark,” and several other shows.’

Armstrong said that there was “more voting” in the award process for the Emmys than in his ascension.

An insider later revealed to E! News that the audience wasn’t pleased with Armstrong’s statements.

The insider also said there were many audible “wtfs” and very little laughter in the crowd.

There were also mixed reactions from the fans, who shared their opinions on social media.

King Charles III recently became the new monarch of the UK and the Commonwealth.

He ascended after his mother, Queen Elizabeth, died last week after ruling for 70 years.
