The film reflects Branagh’s childhood experiences in Northern Ireland.

The movie tells the story of Buddy, a fictionalized version of Branagh’s childhood.

In the film, the character of Buddy is portrayed by Jude Hill.

The film features an impressive cast, including Jamie Dornan and Judi Dench.

He said he came up with the idea during the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown.

He said that he was doing a lot of “introspection” at that time.

“Belfast had been with me really ever since I left the place,” he said.

He was relieved that he got a “tremendous response to the screenplay.”
