Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Kanye West is starting his own school, with Donda Academy.

This will be in Southern California, and named after his late mother.

He is already building a strong basketball program as well, as there is a search for a head coach, and have already gotten 5-star recruit, Jahki Howard, to transfer from his school, in Norcross, GA, to come play for Donda Academy.

Adidas will also be the sponsor of the school's basketball uniforms.

According to CBS 2 Los Angeles, Donda Academy will be set at Simi Valley and Moorpark.

The school is also set on giving students the best education possible, as on their website, it stated that students will receive: "a world-class education that includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving," making them the "next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators."

As of now, Brandon Robinson, of Bally Sports, reported that Donda Academy is planning to be opened by the end of 2021.

The school is also currently accepting applications, but tuition costs still haven't been finalized.

Signing Jahki Howard was huge, but Donda Academy has more firepower on the way, for their basketball program. Other stars who are reportedly coming to the school are Robert Dillingham, Jalen Hooks, and Zion Cruz.
