The rapper was sued for sampling a song without permission the track, “Flowers.”

The lawsuit accuses Ye of sampling the 1986 track “Move Your Body” by Marshall Jefferson.

Jefferson’s song was reportedly repeated at least 22 times in Ye’s track.

The company and creator behind the Stem Player was also named as a defendant.

Ultra International Music Publishing who filed the lawsuit blasted Ye of hypocrisy.

“West advocates for artists’ rights with one hand, yet has no shame in taking away rights from another artist.”

UIMP is seeking $150,000 in maximum statutory damages per infringement.

They also want an injunction to stop Ye and his associates from sampling the hit house track.
