Jussie Smollett is slowly making his return to the spotlight.

He was convicted of five felony counts of disorderly conduct for faking a hate crime.

He was then sentenced to 150 days in jail but spent only six days.

Following his jail stint, Jussie's new single reached the top spot on the iTunes R&B chart.

He made an Instagram post to announce his major milestone.

Smollett was recently present at the BET Awards show, but fans were not so happy.

Jussie was at the event to promote his directorial debut, "B-Boy Blues."

He directed and wrote the script with novelist James Earl Hardy.

The movie star financed the project with a Cleveland-based radio broadcast investor, Tom Wilson.
