Jussie Smollett was indicted on several counts of disorderly conduct in March 2019.

Smollett’s sister Jurnee posted on Instagram asking for her brother’s release.

She said her brother was innocent.

Smollett was sentenced to 30 months on probation with 150 days spent in jail.

He said he was innocent, and if anything happened to him in jail, it wasn’t his doing.

Smollett initially said two masked men attacked him and hurled homophobic and racist slurs at him.

The charges were dropped then revived in early 2020.

Smollett’s other siblings spoke against the sentence and said their brother was innocent.

His younger brother said Smollett was jailed for being a victim.
