Fashion designer Julia Haart filed a multi-million dollars lawsuit against her estranged husband and former partner, Silvio Scaglia.
Haart alleged that Scaglia defrauded her out of stocks and shares in their company, Elite World Group (EWG) and Freedom Holding, Inc. (FHI).
Haart claimed she agreed to an arrangement with Scaglia that prevented her from receiving a salary from Elite World Group (EWG) while she was CEO.
Elite World Group’s Group Chief Executive Officer Paolo Barbieri and Jeffrey Feinman from accounting firm DDK & Company were also named as defendants in the suit.
“Haart’s indentured servitude must be remedied,” the reality star’s lawsuit argued.
Scaglia’s attorney, Lanny J. Davis, disputed Haart’s claim saying, “she doesn’t own 50 percent of Mr. Scalia, or Freedom or any of the company’s assets.”
The pair’s marital problems became public in December 2021.
Haart filed for divorce in February 2022 after nearly three years of marriage.
The estranged couple’s divorce proceedings will resume on Monday at Manhattan Supreme Court, with Haart scheduled to testify.
