When Mark Hamill joined Twitter, someone else had his name.

Therefore, he had to join the site as @HamillHimself.

The original @MarkHamill never used their account at all.

Scammers also took advantage of the confusion by creating fake Mark Hamill accounts.

Fortunately, on Saturday, Twitter decided to set things right.

After 10 years, they finally gave Mark Hamill the use of @MarkHamill.

“I hope there's no confusion or nostalgia for the loss of alliteration,” Hamill tweeted.

He also hoped that fans wouldn’t have “any questions about why I don't also use my middle name: Richard.”

“This has got to be the best day ever for you,” one fan joked, to which Hamill replied, “My children being born are a close second.”
