Jon Stewart just accepted one of the highest comedy honors.

He accepted the 2022 Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday night.

Stewart is the 23rd person to receive the prize.

Many political leaders and famous friends also spoke at the ceremony.

Nancy Pelosi says she likes his comedy “just so long as it's funny.”

Olivia Munn said Stewart “changed the way my generation saw the news and public policy.”

Steve Carrell said Stewart made “sense out of the insane and finding joy in the darkness.”

Stephen Colbert joked to Stewart, it “looks like you drank out of the wrong chalice in an Indiana Jones movie.”

The full ceremony will be broadcast on June 21 on PBS.
