Joe Biden is continuing his pledge to further gun control.

A shooting in Uvalde, Texas, left 19 children and two adults dead.

There have been several more shootings since then.

Biden addressed the public in a national address, saying, “We can’t fail the American people again.”

Biden is calling on an outright ban on assault rifles, such as the AK-47 and AR-15.

An AR-15 was the weapon that was used by the 18-year-old gunman in Uvalde.

In 1994, Congress had actually passed a ban on assault weapons and mass shootings went down.

Biden is hoping to enact the law once again, but it’s questionable it will make it through the Senate.

Biden is also willing to compromise and raise the legal age of purchase from 18 to 21.
