The show host made headlines for a moment involving Quinta Brunson.
Kimmel was accused of trying to steal brunson’s moment during her acceptance speech.
On Wednesday’s episode of his talk show, the host addressed the controversy.
He explained that his play dead act was a “dumb comedic bit.”
He also apologized to Brunson for his actions.
“The last thing I would ever want to do is upset you because I think so much of you,” Kimmel stated.
Brunson wholly accepted Kimmel’s apology
She also interrupted Kimmel’s monologue in a funny act of revenge.
