Jessie J went on Instagram and paid tribute to the late Jamal Edwards.
She wrote: “Your light, Your ideas, Your love for your Mum and your sister, Your work ethic, Your dedication to making a difference not just in this industry but in this world.”
The singer continued: “Your laugh, Your laugh 💔 Your care for every person you met was unmatched.”
Jessie added: “But your friendship… Phew. That’s why my heart is broken.”
She also noted that they “had plans bro. I can’t believe this is real. I love you @jamaledwards.”
Jessie also shared videos of the SB.TV founder, their photo, and a screenshot of his message to her.
Edwards died on Sunday at age 31.
His cause of death was not revealed at the time.
Today, his mom, Brenda, revealed that her son died of “a sudden illness.”
