Jerrod Carmichael recently opened up on his life after coming out as gay.

Carmichael had previously admitted to being gay in his latest comedy special, “Rothaniel.”

“I think I feel freer,” the comedian confessed during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Carmichael further revealed that he has since tried to live a life devoid of lies.

“Like, one day at a time. Like, I didn't lie today. Today I didn't lie, it's OK,” he explained.

Carmichael recently had his directorial debut in “On the Count of Three.”

He starred in the film alongside “The Forgiven” star Christopher Abbott in the comedy thriller film.

Carmichael will reunite with Abbott in Yorgos Lanthimos' romance sci-fi “Poor Things.”

“Poor Things” will debut later in 2022 and feature “The Amazing Spider-Man” Emma Stone as the protagonist.
