Jennifer Lawrence said male directors have the "biggest hissy fits" on set.

"I've worked with Bryan Singer. I've seen emotional men, I've seen the biggest hissy fits thrown on set," she said.

Lawrence and Singer had worked together on the X-Men franchise.

The actress made the claim during a round table appearance that also featured other stars.

The mother of one also stated that she preferred working with female directors.

She cited that female directors worked with better schedules and prevented huge fights from happening on set.

The actress took back her claim about being the first woman to star as a lead in an action film.

"That's certainly not what I meant to say at all. I know that I am not the only woman who has ever led an action film," she said.

She garnered critical acclaim for starring as Katniss in "The Hunger Games" franchise.
