Jay Leno is opening up about his fire accident like never before.

The comedian endured a brutal burn on his face on November 12 while working a car.

Leno suffered 2nd degree and 3rd degree burns and had to undergo a facial graft.

In a new essay, the show host opened up about the incident and his recovery.

Leno downplayed the severity of the headline-making accident.

“Anybody who works with their hands on a regular basis is going to have an accident at some point,” he said.

Leno also commented on his he remained in good spirits during recovery.

The “Jay Leno’s Garage” host admitted he relied on his humor.
