LA County judge rules to remove Jamie Spears from Britney’s 13yr conservatorship, pending its dismissal.

Britney Spears Conservatorship

Judge Penny said it was in Britney’s best interest for Jamie Spears to be removed from the case.

Britney’s lawyers had asked the judge to remove her father from the conservatorship, citing “abuse” over the past several years.

Britney's father is accused of monitoring her texts, calls and other digital communications.

Kaiser Health News tweeted that when Britney went before the judge she stated she was forced into psychiatric care costing her $60K a month.

Britney's lawyer said in a statement “Unauthorized recording or monitoring of Britney’s private communications … represent an unconscionable and disgraceful violation of her privacy rights and a striking example of the deprivation of her civil liberties,”

Rosengart, Britney's attorney also asked the court to set  a hearing in the next 30-45 days to end the conservatorship.

Celebrities have been expressing their support for Britney on social media.

Cher tweeted, “Thank God. I’ve Talked and prayed about this 4 YEARS. IM MORE THAN THRILLED FOR HER. BLESS OUR SUPER STAR. #FREEBRITNEY.” Britney’s fiancé, Sam Asghari, took to his Instagram Story and wrote, “Free Britney! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!”
