Jamie Lynn Spears opened up about Britney Spear’s conservatorship in a new interview.

She claimed she couldn’t help her sister back then.

She said: “I didn't have a say when [the conservatorship] happened.”

Jamie added: “My sister was going through a hard time, I was still a child, and that's what everybody, I think, forgets: I was just a kid going through my own crap.”

She admitted that she knew something was up at the time, but couldn’t say something.

She explained: “I was still a cheerleader, and I remember I'd go to games a§nd people would say stuff. I was so angry and sad and worried. I knew things weren't OK, but you don't know how to put that in words as a kid.”

Jamie also shared that the people behind Britney’s conservatorship wanted her to be part of it, but she declined.

She said: “I took time, and I declined it nicely,” adding, “I just wanted to remain her sister, very simply.”

The actress continued: “It's unfortunate that I've been grouped into this, but the facts are I had nothing to do with anything.”
