Just to be clear: Jake Gyllenhaal never called Taylor Swift out by name.

However, Jake has received a fair amount of bullying from Swift fans.

Their public break-up was featured in Swift’s 2012 album, “Red.”

In a recent interview with Esquire, Jake talked about cyberbullying.

He said that artists have a “responsibility” to control “unruly” fans.

He said artists have “a responsibility to have them be civil.”

He said that should “not allow for cyberbullying in one’s names.”

He made it clear that he wasn’t naming “any individual, per se.”

He said he just wanted to open up a conversation about taking “responsibility for what we put into the world.”
