It’s official: J.K. Rowling will not be in the 20th anniversary special.

The author of the “Harry Potter” series will be seen in archived footage.

However, she will not make an appearance in any new footage.

Rowling was canceled by fans after transphobic remarks she made last year.

Although fans asked her to apologize, Rowling instead doubled-down on her comments.

Many fans expressed concern that she would profit off of the anniversary special.

They are even calling for fans to boycott the cast reunion.

However, some Harry Potter fans have waited years to see the main cast back together again.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson have all confirmed their participation in the special.
