J.K. Rowling received a death threat after tweeting in support of writer Salman Rushdie.

This was after Rushdie was brutally stabbed on stage at the CHQ 2022 in New York.

He was stabbed in his arms, face and torso, and he has a damaged liver and will likely lose an eye.

Rowling tweeted that she felt sick after hearing the news and a Twitter user replied, “Don’t worry, you’re next.”

In response to the comment, she tagged Twitter’s official account, asking them to help her.

She later thanked fans for their support and assured them that everything was under control by the authorities.

The suspect is 24-year-old Hadi Matar, who faces a second-degree murder charge and an assault charge for the attack.

Henry Reese, who moderated the event, was injured in the attack but went home later that day.

Rushdie is currently in critical condition at the hospital, undergoing a long healing process.
