Iman went on Today and talked about her late husband David Bowie.

The retired supermodel said she went to her “house estate” last year at the height of the pandemic.

While there, she grieved for her husband who died of cancer four years ago for the first time.

She said, “All of a sudden, grief knocked on the door and became a companion. And I went through all of it, and now it is the joy that I remember.”

Iman revealed that her daughter, Lexi Jones, asked her about her future marriage plans.

She said, “People say to me when they talk, ‘Oh I loved your late husband,' and I said, ‘He’s not my late husband, he’s my husband,’ so that’s how I feel about it. This was truly the love of my life, and I just wait until I meet him again.”

Iman moved to Los Angeles, where she was set up with a blind date by an acquaintance, meeting Bowie for the first time.

She told Naomi Campbell during on her YouTube show, “I met this hairdresser at a photographer’s dinner one night, and he said, ‘I’d like you to come to my birthday party.’ And it was at a restaurant, so I thought it was a birthday party. And it was four of us. David, the hairdresser, and the boyfriend, and me.”

Iman said, “Destiny really propelled me to go to L.A. for no obvious reason.”
