On Wednesday, the “Rust” production company was fined $136,793 dollars.

The New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau issued the citation for safety violations.

Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was injured on Oct. 21.

A gun that Alec Baldwin was holding discharged and struck both individuals.

The Hutchins family released a statement through their attorney, Brian Panish.

They said they were glad that the “OSHA report has shed some light on the workplace safety issues.”

They said that their “own investigation” had found “overwhelming evidence of recklessness and negligence.”

“Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed also issued a statement through her lawyer.

The statement said, “OSHA found that she was not provided adequate time or resources to conduct her job effectively.”
