Another MAJOR update has been revealed in the case of missing person Brian Laundrie.

Human remains were found in the same area where earlier today FBI agents discovered items belonging to Laundrie.

A notebook and backpack belonginig to the person of interest in the homicide of Gabby Petito were found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.

"Earlier today investigators found what appears to be human remains along with personal items, such as a backpack and notebook, belonging to Brian Laundrie," Michael McPherson, special agent in charge of the FBI's Tampa office, told reporters.

In addition, the remains were found in an area that had been underwater until recently.

Not much else is known about the human remains, and it will take the investigative team several days to gather evidence.

On Tuesday, October 19, Brian Laundrie’s parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, informed law enforcement officials that they would be going to the environmental park on Wednesday.

Upon arriving the to park, Brian’s parents discovered his notebook and backpack.

Brian went missing in early September after arriving home in Florida without his fiancé, Gabby Petito. The couple were taking a cross-country road trip to visit America’s National Parks.
