In the wake of Alec Baldwin’s tragic on set shooting, his wife, Hilaria Baldwin is breaking her silence.

On Thursday, October 21, the veteran actor accidentally fired a loaded prop gun which struck both the director of photography and director.

Halyna Hutchins, the director of photography, was tragically killed while director Joel Souza was hospitalized for his injuries.

The shooting occurred when Baldwin pulled the trigger on a gun that he was told was unloaded, according to a search warrant executed by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's office.

Baldwin issued a statement on Twitter on Friday saying, “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.”

His note continued, “I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”

His wife, Hilaria, has broken her silence as well on Instagram.

In a post published on Monday, October 25, she wrote, “My heart is with Halyna and her husband, Her son. Their family and loved ones. And my Alec. It’s said, ‘There are no words,’ because it’s impossible to express the shock and heartache of such a tragic accident. Heartbreak. Loss. Support.”

Many famous friends came to Hilaria’s defense and showed support.
