Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on the “Rust” set last October.

On Thursday, the Santa Fe DA finally pressed criminal charges.

Alec Baldwin and “Rust” armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed are facing involuntarily manslaughter charges.

First assistant director Dave Halls pled guilty to the negligent use of a deadly weapon.

It’s possible that Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed could face up to 18 months behind bars.

The Hutchins’ family released a short statement shortly after the news broke.

They thanked the Santa Fe sheriff and DA for “determining that charges for involuntary manslaughter are warranted.”

“Our independent investigation also supports that charges are warranted,” they added.

They concluded: “It is a comfort to the family that, in New Mexico, no one is above the law.”
