Reveals Son With Elon Musk Does Not Call Her Mom;'He Can Sense My Distaste For The Word Mother'
Grimes, real name Claire Boucher, does not like to be called mom or mama, so much so that she thinks her 1-year-old son X Æ A-12 picked up on her preference.
The singer opened up to Vogue as they filmed her getting ready for the 2021 Met Gala. Her outfit was headline-worthy, but the oddball star revealed some strange truths.
"I think having a baby was a big kind of like rebirth for me, like artistically," she said while her glam squad prepped her for the big night.
She continued, "Being a mother feels weird to say for some reason, I don't, like identify with that word."
"Which is also really weird because X (her son) says Claire, but he doesn't say like mama." The spacey singer hypothesized that X is picking up on her true feelings.
"Like maybe he can sense my distaste for the word mother. Which I don't even know why I have a distaste for it," Grimes said.

"I like, respect it. I just, I don't, I can't identify with it, weirdly," Grimes said. She does identify with her 'Dune' inspired Met look, which was fantastic!
