A tiger was killed at the Naples Zoo in Florida.

The Malayan tiger, named Eko, was 8 years old.

It was given to the Florida zoo in 2020 after previously living in Seattle.

Malayan tigers are a critically endangered species with only 200 left in the wild.

A janitor who did not work for the zoo reached in the enclosure.

Reports say he was trying to either pet or feed Eko.

Eko grabbed the man's arm and attempted to pull him into its enclosure.

When Eko would not release the man, deputies fatally shot the tiger.

The man was airlifted to the hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.
