Last month, Florence Pugh went braless in a see-through dress at a fashion show.
It attracted a lot of attention – and criticism – online.
In a new Harper’s Bazaar cover story, Pugh called the backlash “alarming.”
She said her critics “were so angry that I was confident.”
Pugh revealed that the backlash even reached the attention of her grandmother.
She said her gran asked her, “So, what’s all of this business about your nipples then?”
Pugh said that she then showed her grandmother the photos of her in the dress.
“She gasped,” Pugh said. “Because the dress was so beautiful.”
Many of Pugh’s costars have also come to her defense online.
