Five are now in custody after stealing valuables and cars from tornado victims.
Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden
revealed that they were stealing from people who were displaced, hospitalized, or deceased.
Two people who committed the crime were from Hickman, Kentucky.
Two others were from the neighboring state of Tennessee.
One woman, 29, had no home address but admitted she had methamphetamine hidden in a body cavity during her arrest.
Another woman reportedly had syringes of methamphetamine in her car and purse.
All are being charged with various degrees of theft.
This is not the first time looters have tried to take advantage of storm victims.
On Friday, four were arrested in Michigan after stealing vehicles from victim’s homes.
