Fans Blast J Balvin After Receiving Afro-Latino Artist Of The Year

J Balvin has gotten himself on the wrong side of fans after an award ceremony went wrong.

Over the weekend, Balvin was awarded the Afro-Latin Artist of the Year at the 2021 African Entertainment Awards USA.

The award caused quite a controversy as Balvin isn’t African.

Fans took to social media to slam the singer for accepting the award despite knowing he isn’t Afro-Latino.

Following the backlash, Balvin released a statement, declaring he wasn’t Afro-Latino.

The African Entertainment Awards has since changed the category to Best Latin Artist of the Year.
