On Friday night, fans were shocked to learn Jak Knight had passed away.

The stand-up comedian was only 28-years-old.

His family announced the death but provided no details on his passing.

Knight had co-created and starred in the Peacock original series “Bust Down.”

He also played Devon on the Netflix series “Big Mouth” and wrote for the show for 5 seasons.

Many comedians took to social media to mourn the loss of a great talent.

Comedian Steve Hofstetter called the news of the passing “the saddest thing.”

He added that Knight was “enthusiastic, smart, fun, goofy, hilarious, kind.”

“The Daily Show” writer Josh Johnson added, “It still doesn’t feel real. Comedy won’t be the same without you.”
