Demi Lovato bought a series of ancient Egyptian artifacts.

The singer showed it off on their Instagram Stories over the weekend.

The singer also showed paperwork that was supposed to be the items’ certificate of authenticity.

However, some experts are doubting the validity of the artifacts.

Lovato said that the items were acquired at an online shop called Museum Surplus.

Archaeologist Peter Campbell said that he had never heard of them.

He also said that the certificates of authenticity lacked credible information.

For example, the find-spot, owner history, and exportation date were all missing.

A lot of fans think that Lovato just bought a bunch of good-looking fakes.
