Kendrick Lamar surprised fans with a new song release after a five-year-long break.

“The Heart Part 5” was released on Sunday night with a music video that saw Lamar’s face change into some popular black men.

Celebs he morphed into were O.J. Simpson, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, and Jussie Smollett.

Fans believed that Lamar standing to the left and dancing in the video represented a heartbeat with the red background adding to the symbolism.

This surprise song arrived before the release of Lamar’s fifth studio album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,” to be released in a few days.

Lamar thanked fans for waiting so long to hear the album in a document announcing it.

This project will be Lamar’s last one with Top Dawg Entertainment, his long-time label.

This followed the start of his own company, phLang, which he co-founded with his manager, Dave Free.

His last project, “DAMN”, earned 5 Grammys, a Pulitzer Prize for Music, and was 7x platinum verified.
