Elon Musk and Twitter have made the deal.

Earlier this month, Musk offered to buy Twitter for $54.20 a share.

On Monday, April 25, the deal went through.

Twitter board chair Bret Taylor confirmed the deal on Monday.

He said the board “conducted a thoughtful and comprehensive process to assess Elon’s proposal.”

“The proposed transaction will deliver a substantial cash premium,” he continued.

He said the deal “is the best path forward for Twitter’s stockholders.”

It is unclear what changes Musk will make to Twitter or how quickly.

He has previously conducted a poll to test interest in an edit button.
