On April 4, Elon Musk launched a Twitter poll.

He asked, “Do you want an edit button?”

2,969,005 votes had been cast in the poll with only 11 hours left.

73.5% said “yse” and 26.5% said “on.”

That same day, it was revealed that Musk secured a 9.2% passive stake in the company.

That makes him the largest shareholder of Twitter stock.

On April 1, Twitter had previously teased an edit button.

However, it was on April Fool’s Day, so many fans dismissed it.

After Musk launched his poll, the Twitter CEO wrote, “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully.”
