“Dancing With The Star” pro, Cheryl Burke recently opened up about her struggle with body dysmorphia.

Burke had an interview with Sean Hayes and Dr. Priyanka Wali on the “Hypchondriactor” podcast.

She had previously spoken about it in a YouTube video titled “My Struggles with Body Image.”

Burke eventually realized it was a big problem when she revisited older seasons of DWTS.

Burke revealed that it eventually got so bad that she couldn’t get the thoughts out of her head.

The negative public conversations about her body reinforced her negative internal thoughts.

She said people called her fat when she got off birth control and retained 15 pounds of water weight.

The negative thoughts about her body were something Burke struggled with long before fame.

She believes that leaving DWTS will help her repair her relationship with her body.
