Dwayne Johnson revealed that Warner Bros did not want to bring back Henry Cavill as Superman.

In a video on Twitter, Johnson shared that he "worked hard" to change the stance of the showrunners.

Johnson starred in the recently released "Black Adam," in which Cavill's Superman makes a cameo at the end.

The former pro wrestler stated that Cavill needed to return to the role to help establish Black Adam's character in the DC universe.

He also shared that it would help build better stories for future DC universe films.

Johnson praised Cavill as the best actor to have portrayed Superman.

He said, "Henry Cavill is our generations Superman and in my opinion, the greatest Superman."

"Black Adam" debuted in theatres on October 21, 2022.

It has grossed over $350 million since its release.
