Drew Barrymore revealed that her therapist, Barry Michels, quit because of her intense post-divorce drinking.

The actress explained that she resumed drinking because she felt like she’d failed her daughters.

Barrymore and ex-husband, Will Kopelman, were married for about four years and had two daughters.

During Barrymore’s drinking spiral, some of her friends, like Cameron Diaz, said it was “difficult to watch.”

The actress explained that despite the concern, she wasn’t able to get the drinking under control until 2019.

Barrymore said that she and Michels eventually resumed their working relationship two years after he quit.

She also admitted that she’s struggling with sharing her alcohol and substance abuse history with her kids.

The actress previously revealed that she has no plans to marry again.

Sha called marriage an “outdated concept” in the modern world.
