Dolly Parton is a generous donor to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

She recently donated $1 million to the institution for their pediatric cancer program.

The funding will help boost research on treatments for children with cancer.

Parton stated in a press release that she was willing to do her part in making kids healthy.

Dr. Jeff Balser, Vanderbilt's president, and CEO, released a statement acknowledging the donation.

The "Hello, I'm Dolly" star previously contributed $1 million towards coronavirus-related research at Vanderbilt.

Her foundation also assisted middle Tennessee residents after a tragic rainstorm.

Parton spoke to National Geographic about climate change and her hometown, the 'Smokies.'

The Smokies influenced her life and career, and she acknowledged the region in one of her songs.
