At the 2022 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 15, Doja Cat announced she was not quitting music.

The 26-year-old said on the red carpet, "I'm here because I made music, and I want to make music again."

Doja Cat said her deleted tweets from March where she quit music were serious at the time.

Doja Cat's single "Kiss It Better" featuring "SZA" won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

The "Planet Her" star also won four Billboard Music Awards.

Doja Cat explained, "I want to stop music,' but I don't. I wanna keep doing music."

The singer announced she would be taking a break to make more songs.

Following career pressures and the backlash of her canceled Paraguay performance, Doja Cat quit music via Twitter in March.

One of the star's deleted tweets read, "This s— ain’t for me, so I’m out. Y’all take care."
