William Hartnell was the first Doctor from 1963 to 1966.

Paul McGann was the last Doctor in 1996 before its hiatus.

The show returned in 2005 with Chris Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor.

The show took off with audiences during the tenure of David Tennant.

The current Doctor is the show's first female Doctor: Jodie Whittaker.

BBC has yet to reveal who the 14th Doctor will be!
