Actress Debra Messing fired shots at Kim Kardashian over her upcoming gig on “Saturday Night Live,” questioning the need for the star’s presence on the late-night show.
It was announced that Kim would be joining Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, and Rami Malek as hosts of 'SNL' next season.
Debra took to her official Twitter account to question the decision to include Kardashian in the prestigious honor.
“Why Kim Kardashian? I mean, I know she is a cultural icon, but SNL has hosts, generally, who are performers who are there to promote a film, TV show, or album launch. Am I missing something?”
Messing's public thoughts were met with support and criticism, with some people calling her a hater and others agreeing that Kim is a weird choice.
To be fair to Kim, 'SNL' has often featured non-performer hosts. Last season, the show faced criticism for having Elon Musk as a host.
The world will get to see another side of Kim Kardashian on October 9th, when she joins musical guest Halsey on 'SNL.'
